Description

is made from 100% estate grown Sangiovese grapes, especially selected bunch by bunch from their best vineyards. Robust yet elegant, it is a wine with long ageing potential.
This wine comes from a careful bunch selection from the best 8 ha of vineyards. Fermentation and maceration happen in cement, to retain freshness, for 35 days. It is aged in French barriques for 20-22 months and sees a further 15-18 months of bottle ageing. Deep ruby in colour, this wine displays aromas of intense dark fruit, combined with dried fruit and spice. The palate is fruity, rich and round, with firm but smooth and ripe tannins on the finish. A great accompaniment to food.
