Description

1990 has all the characteristics of a top flight vintage,possibly the finest for Australia's reds since 1986.The Hunter Valley was a weak link in an otherwise great vintage,particularly in South Australia.1990 was excellent in Victoria and Western Australia.

Stonewall Shiraz is considered the jewel in the crown of the Peter Lehman range.Made from dry-grown low yielding blocks from vines that are in some cases over 100 years old.Stonewall Shiraz is a muscular wine--impermeable black in colour,when young,with a powerful palate of dark chocolate,prunes,liquorice and hints of mint.Fermentation is in mainly French(and a small portion of American)oak hogsheads.
