Description

The Rivetti brothers estate, headed up by the charming and ultra-talented Giorgio has become the estate in Barbaresco to watch. Coming from a history of Moscato production 20 years ago, the transformation into one of the great red wine producing estates could not be more eloquent, especially when one considers the time in which this has been achieved. In 2000, La Spinetta invested in some new Barolo vineyards and a fantastic winery and barrel cellar in the Barolo DOCG.

A fresh new world approach with old world structure. Well integrated blend of Cabernet's mineral notes and the dark tarry, black berried fruits of Nebbiolo and Barbera. Deep concentrated fruit on the nose, is carried through on the palate. A degree of spiciness and soft vanilla oak notes offer dry ripe tannins. A length and concentration equal to some of the best.
