The lots consist of three bottles of E & E Black Pepper from the 1991,1993 and 1996 vintages.


I have located the most recent wine tasting notes on CellarTracker regarding the above wines.

Tasting notes on the 1991 E & E Black Pepper Shiraz:-

"If I would give points only for the nose,the wine would easily earn 100 points.What a beauty,with unbelievable complexity and elegance.Essential oils are mixed with blackberries,mint,blackcurrant,cherries,dark chocolate and so on and so on.
A noble coolness,very smooth tannins are linked with great structure.The essential notes of black pepper,laurels,cinnamon and nutmeg are built together with the fruit and soft tannins.A great and elegant wine.I became addicted to this wine,but it was my first and last bottle".

"Definitely a "wow" wine.Perfectly balanced with rich but not overdone fruit.Still has years of drinking ahead,but likely drinking at its peak today.Outstanding example of an aged Shiraz from a top producer".
