Description

ORGANOLEPTIC EXAM: ruby red color, aromas rich in floral notes. On the palate it is fragrant and particularly easy to drink.

The Valtellina Matteo Bandello Faccinelli is produced of 100% Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca) within the Grumello sub-area in the mountain municipalities in Valtellina and Sondrio exhibition. The vineyards facing South at an altitude of 400-650 metres a.s.l. composed of sand and gravel; shallow and with a very compact surface layer. Soil with sub-acid reaction. The harvest is manual between the second and third week of October and the Valtellina Matteo Bandello Faccinelli goal is to produce a fresh and captivating wine in perfumes. Particularly enjoyable on the palate after a year the harvest. The maceration, conducted at rather low temperatures, has a duration of 5 days and then is matured in small French oak barrels for a period ranging from 7 to 10 months.

The Luca Faccinelli Agricultural Company was founded in 2007 in Chiuro, in the heart of Valtellina. It grows and produces Nebbiolo grapes from terraced vineyards in the area of Valtellina Superiore Grumello, in the area called Dossi Salati. A few labels are produced from about three hectares of vineyards in which passion, enthusiasm and love for the land and the vineyards of the Valtellina are concentrated. Particular attention is given to the vineyard and the selection of the grapes. Reason why – for example – the 2012 vintage was not vinified, while for the 2014 harvest it was decided to produce only the Rosso di Valtellina DOC Matteo Bandello, the second label produced by the company.
