Description

The 1990 was the first vintage of Le Secret de Sabon.It was a very limited production of 1,000 bottles and they were only sold privately at the Domaine.The first "official" vintage of this wine was in 1998 and Robert Parker gave the 1998 Le Secret de Sabon the maximum 100 points and he has also since awarded more recent vintages with 100 points.The wine is made from 100-year-old vines,yielding less than 10 hectoliters per hectare.Although the exact cepage remains a family secret,it is clear that the Grenache grape is the main ingredient.
The very rare 1990 Le Secret de Sabon is now more or less impossible to find on the retail market (even the Domaine told me they had no bottles left).Parker has been unable to taste a bottle of this wine,because of its rarity.
I have read reports that a bottle of this wine sells for 2,000Euros,but as always I have placed a "No Reserve" on this bottle and it is up to the "market forces" on Bid for Wine to determine its current value.
