Description

These champagnes are from Christie’s WWA Wine Sale last year. Hence, the white labels on the bottles. They’ve been stored in my wine room since, so should be in excellent condition.

A top-of-the-range white champagne with beautiful notes of apple and white flowers to bring a little touch of madness to your taste buds to all the beautiful moments of life.

100% Chardonnay 1er Cru blanc de blancs champagne
In 2018, we acquired the Les Folies vineyard in the small premier cru village of Vertus (Blancs Coteaux). This is the first vintage that we have created with grapes from this vine.

Colour and bubbles

Les Folies Champagne has a pale yellow color of dazzling brilliance in which very fine bubbles swirl.

Tasting :

Of great finesse, the Champagne Les Folies reveals aromas of dark fruit on the nose, folloewd by white friots (apple, pear, etc.) which harmonize with floral scents of jasmine and linden. It evolves towards subtle notes of fresh almond with accents of honey.

When tasting this superb Champagne, the acidity quickly gives way to a suave and creamy palate with aromas of mandarin and passion fruit. The finish is long and very refreshing, reinforced by a saline touch. The finesse of the bubble highlights the refined and airy texture of this premier cru champagne.

Sommelier's advice :

This beautiful Blanc de Blancs Champagne will be perfect for an aperitif with a little touch of madness. At the table, this cuvée made from 100% Chardonnay, goes very well with shellfish and seafood. It can also pair well with a spicy tuna tartare with fresh coriander, lime and spices like cardamom.

This Champagne will accompany very good times: refined meals, birthdays with your loved ones or just a flute to enjoy the present moment. This is our best Champagne from a small producer in our tradition range.
